Kangaroo Skin – an extremely strong, but light leather is made from kangaroo skins, which are harvested from animals raised for meat. Kangaroo skin leather is popularly used to make shoes, motorbike garments, fashion accessories and in vehicle upholstery. Kangaroo has several unique properties that make it so suitable for these type of applications. When split, kangaroo leather retains a lot more of its tensile strength than other types of leather, which means that it is able to be manufactured in extremely thin sheets, while still retaining almost all of its strength and flexibility. Kangaroo skin is considered a sustainable material, and more ecologically suitable than other types of leather on the market.
